Vito Donatiello awarded Italian Wine Ambassador
Shanghai (China), November 16, 2017 – Vito Donatiello has been awarded the prestigious title of “Italian Wine Ambassador” for his outstanding contribution to Italian wine in Asia. Presented by Ms. Sofia Biancolin, President of DE.S.A. Deutschland Sommelier Association, the award recognises Mr Donatiello’s enduring efforts to develop wine culture in China.
Living and working in Shanghai since 2005, Vito Donatiello has been continuously engaged in the Italian wine industry, identifying fine wines to match the evolving tastes of the ever-growing Chinese wine market. A Certified Professional Sommelier and well-known distributor, he has actively spread his passion for wine culture through professional wine courses, guided tastings and seminars, while also providing quality labels to prestigious hotels and restaurants throughout the Shanghai metropolitan area.
DE.S.A., in collaboration with ProWine, annually identifies key people leading the improvement and growth of Italian wine worldwide. This year, at the ProWine China 2017 event, DE.S.A. awarded the title of “Italian Wine Ambassador” to recognise 10 key players in 3 categories of professional contributions in China: buyers; restaurateurs; and sommeliers/educators.
